Our adventure started a mere 6 months ago, well, really more like several years ago when we would joke off an on about how fun it would be to own our own boutique and what we would name said boutique if we ever decided to take the leap. And when we say leap, we definitely mean leap! When you start a small business you never know how your friends, family and better yet, your community is going to respond. We took a HUGE leap of faith! We had the financial and social backing that it took to make it work, but weren’t 100% sure that others would actually ‘like’ what we liked or support our small business. But, boy, oh boy, were we wrong!
Fast forward a few months and here we are in April- ALREADY!! The last six months have just flown by and we have big plans for this little boutique in the coming months! One of our first events concluded this past Saturday- a fashion show showcasing our new spring and kids lines. This event went off without a hitch (better than we ever could’ve imagined). We definitely wouldn’t have been able to pull this event off without the help of the Holton/Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, they were a huge help from promoting the event to helping us decorate before hand. It may have cost us all lots of missed hours of sleep, but it was very well worth it! Stay tuned for future events, because we know there will be plenty more in the future.
We have been overwhelmingly surprised by the support of our community as well as the surrounding communities in this adventure and we look forward to providing that small-town boutique for our clients- new and old- to shop at for many, many years to come. We hope as we get this blog started that we can help you style a few pieces in your closet, keep you up to date on what is happening in the shop and events were involved in around the community!
In true busy-woman fashion, we completely forgot to take pictures during the event ourselves, so we are relying on our great memories and the other wonderful gals present at the event for pictures!
